Take a break this coming Friday, March 11, and treat yourself, your family, and friends to a delicious salmon dinner for Helping Hand — a local charity which helps our neighbors in need. Come to Langley United Methodist Church between 5 and 7 p.m. with a healthy appetite and a desire to do some good while having a good time.
Helping Hand benefits hundreds of people on South Whidbey who are in danger of having their power shut off or are running out of propane for heat, are in danger of being evicted, or who are experiencing other short term financial crises.
The dinner includes Dave Anderson’s famous Salmon recipe, baked potato, coleslaw, garlic bread and dessert. Suggested donation of $15 for adults and $10 for children. Larger donations, of course, will be gratefully accepted.
Many thanks to Puget Sound Energy for a special grant to purchase and create a new tabletop display about Helping Hand.
We bring it to churches, service organizations, community gatherings, and any public presentation we do.
If you would like Executive Director Rosemary Martin to speak to your group or organization, just call 221-7777 and make the request.

Who We Serve
"Some people live paycheck to paycheck, walking a fence of financial instability.
Any emergency or life change can knock them off that fence, sometimes into a downward spiral of poverty.
Helping Hand volunteers show people that they are not alone, and provide some immediate financial relief and helpful advice."
